The Girl With The Pens (In Her Apron)
The girl with the pens in her apron
Walks by
and the world comes to a halt
I don't know her name or where she's from
but that's all my fault
I can't find the words to say what's on my mind
I want tell her I love you every time
The girl with the pens in her apron walks by.
There must be 10 or 12
all in a row
There's red one, a pink and a green
A ball & felt rainbow
When she smiles there's a sparkle in her eyes
sweet & brown, Lord, I get hypnotized.
When the girl with the pens in her apron walks by
And I know she will never want me
I'm not so dumb to realize
Empty chairs get more from her than me
They feel her touch, her hands, her side
As the girl with the pens in her apron walks by
Pens they do run out
They get tossed away when they run dry
She'll buy more, throw the used ones away
Used ink pens have no pride,
It's just a thing she needs to use every day
I'm okay with being that
I have to say
As the girl with the pens in her apron walks by.
